Haley Cowart

Haley, an Indiana native, grew passionate about protecting the environment by spending much of her childhood in the woods, creek, and farms surrounding her home. She is a recent Butler graduate (Go Dawgs!), and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Studies with minors in Spanish and Organizational Communication. Haley has also studied environmental justice and indigenous rights in Central and South America. During these trips she climbed volcanoes and hiked through the Amazon. Her most recent work, with the City of Indianapolis, Office of Sustainability helped to create educational content and expand the implementation of the Thrive Indianapolis Plan at the individual citizen level. Haley’s free time is spent coaching or playing volleyball and looking for new running trails in the greater Indianapolis area.
